Focus groups and Scoping Study on behalf of the Biochemical Society

In October 2010 Energise7 was commissioned by the Biochemical Society to carry out a scoping study with 40+ primary school teachers from across the country exploring their opinions on the current resources available to them to aid them in their teaching of science. The study is also being used to explore the potential uses of an 'Evolution Frieze' gifted to the Society. A mixture of focus groups and one to one discussions with the teachers, along with survey questionnaires, was utilised to collate the teachers' opinions on the subject. To date meetings with teachers have been conducted in the areas of Nottingham, Leicester, Swindon, Newcastle and London. Once the final few teachers involved in the study have been visited a report will be produced which will identify where those teachers who took part in the study feel provision of additional resource is most needed. Check back here to see the final report shortly.
